Asperger's and Me: Hans Asperger's impact on my
life.
Length- One Hour to an hour and a half
Little did Hans Asperger know how many lives he would change
decades later. Nick Dubin is one of those lives. Mr. Dubin struggled his
whole life wondering what was different about him. After twenty seven
years of searching, he discovered his answer in being diagnosed with
Asperger's Syndrome. Since receiving his diagnosis, he has shared his
life story with countless audiences across the midwest and the
country. Mr. Dubin started out as a nonverbal three and a half year old
who continued to struggle all throughout school, both academically and
socially. He never felt like he "fit in" with anyone. Yet in being
diagnosed, he has found a whole new group of people in which he feels
he belongs. Mr. Dubin hopes that this seminar will help individuals with
Asperger's and their families realize that having a diagnosis of
Asperger's can actually be freeing if one internalizes his or her
diagnosis positively.
Topics included in this seminar are:
*Labels: Good or bad??
* Growing up "Asperger" and not knowing it
* Gifts Asperger's Syndrome has imparted on me
* Personal challenges of having Asperger's Syndrome
* Process of being diagnosed and "outing" myself as an Aspie.
* The audience will walk away with a firsthand understanding on how
Asperger's Syndrome has impacted Nick Dubin. In the process,
individuals with Asperger's Syndrome and their families will receive
hope, guidance and encouragement.

Bullying and Asperger's Syndrome: What can we do
about it?
Length- Presentation- One hour to an hour and a half

*How bad is the problem?
*What are schools currently doing about it?
*Why are children with Asperger's Syndrome easy targets?

Asperger's Syndrome and Employment- The Ultimate
Test
Length- An hour to two hours (depending on what
the organization prefers)
Employment has been shown to be a chronic stumbling block for many
individuals with Asperger's Syndrome. Conservative estimates indicate
that a vast majority of people with Asperger's are unemployed. But it
certainly does not have to be that way. Based on Nick Dubin's
DVD...Asperger's Syndrome and Employment, Mr. Dubin shares with the
audience his own frustrations as well as successes of his firsthand
employment experiences, which are quite typical of the Asperger
population.
Topics included in this seminar are:
*Nick Dubin's experiences in the workplace, as an "aspie".
*Common challenges faced among aspie employees and how these
challenges can be dealt with.
*Capitalizing on strengths and special interests.
*Taking advantage of job coaching.
*Seeking help versus needing to be independent.
